Satyagraha - the force of the truth
Apr. 20th, 2005 09:57 amI'm not ready to talk about the big stuff I got from CMA yet. It's still shaking down and when the dust settles I'll be able to talk about the shapes of it, but . . . not yet.
I got to dance around an A&M-worthy bonfire half naked with a four pound bottle of Irish Cream. It was good to be a modern maenad, and good to watch the sparks roar up into the sky to the sound of more than twenty drums. The fire pit is twenty feet across, and the last time I saw a fire that big it was someones house burning down. Sweet Goddess - the fierceness of joy! Is there a name in any language for the zenith of fun that bares your teeth and makes you roar and wail and scream?
Doug and I went to a class on female sexuality, a workshop on polyamory (because we are in an open relationship, even if we don't do much about it), several rituals, a handfasting, and a healers discussion group. And the LGBT&Friends (gerbils) meeting, of course. The discussion groups brought up interesting ideas to think about but the rituals . . . they shake you. You open yourself up wide and vulnerable and let the world in to show you who it is, what you are, and how it works and doesn't work. And you're never prepared enough for that, because you can't predict it.
So my mind is relaxed, my heart is full, my spirit is restlessly anticipatory, and my will is broken.
